Dr. Joseph Rosenbaum is an MD, FAAOS, and clinical Director of Hand Surgery at Holy Name Medical Center. As a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, he specializes in comprehensive hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow care.
An internship followed his graduation from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in orthopedic surgery at SUNY Downstate and Kings County Hospitals in Brooklyn.
His advanced training includes a fellowship at the Mary S. Stern Fellowship in Cincinnati, where he gained specialized expertise in hand, wrist, and elbow fractures and complex trauma, arthritis, arthroscopy, tendon injuries, and tendinitis.
During his training, Dr. Rosenbaum focused his research on innovative techniques to alleviate injection-related pain. He has received specialized training in performing minimally painful injections.
An accomplished author, Dr. Rosenbaum has published nine textbook chapters and five journal articles, including one on treating hand injuries in athletes.
