Help Texts delivers a full year of expert, evidence-informed support to people caring for a loved one with a serious illness. Text messages draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), are personalized based on diagnosis and relationship, and include tips and resources that address anticipatory grief, caregiver stress, and self-care. Text support is also available for people grieving the loss of a loved one, pregnancy or pet.
More than 1 in 6 working Americans report that they are caring for an adult with a disability or illness. Two thirds of caregivers do not believe their employer has services to support them. 70% are experiencing a mental health issue and 33% have considered suicide in the previous 30 days. Supporting employees who are also caregiving helps companies to build a caring workplace culture, increase employee well-being, and improve productivity and retention.
